Brazilian Floral Lusterware Vase
Excellent ConditionThis majolica style Lusterware urn shaped vase with its floral relief design was made in Brazil during the 1960's.
The pink rose and yellow flower is surrounded by green leaves. Leaf adorned handles are outlined in brown. The loop of the handles and the top rim of the vase are in a muted peach color accented by light green. The base has green and muted peach accents. The dual handled vase is finished with a light pearlized iridescent glaze.
There are no chips, cracks or nicks.
This vase has been lightly used.
It measures 5 1/4" tall, approx 5" from handle to handle. Bottom marks: stamped "MADE IN BRAZIL" incised " 42 * "
In the process of reserching this vase I discovered that there were several variations, each numbered, produced during the 1960's and were likely sold to tourists as souvenirs.
